About event
Andrés Barba: City of Light
Dangerous expedition. From the safety of the living room.
translation of Anežka Charvátová Lucie Natětínská, Jan Bárta, Hynek Chmelař, Václav Marhold, Matěj Šíma
premiere 14. 3. They looked weak, but were able to destroy the patient work of many centuries. ” New waterfront promenade, solid houses and sports cars. Nevertheless, a group of children decide to create a completely different "city of light" on the edge of the forest. Without hierarchy, with its own language and values. They only undermine the existing order with their existence. From the vague recollection of the deeper and deeper layers of consciousness on our own responsibility, we descend uncompromisingly. Together we are looking for our own souls in the forest. How to deal with the different understanding of the world without having to become its staunch enemies? And are we not on generations on a completely bad journey?
