We invite you to spend an evening in the garden with two inspiring guests!
SLAVA HRIADELOVÁ / CAPSULE WARDROBE
In the capsule wardrobe lecture, you will learn not only how to clean and simplify your wardrobe, but also how to arrange it so that you can get by with a smaller amount of clothes, but still be able to create many variations and outfits. You will also learn why and where the life of the clothes we buy and wear ends, how to read labels on clothes, recognize materials and also tricks that will extend the life of your clothes.
Slava Hriadelová is the curator of the Plató Creative Clash project - a platform connecting fashion - art and innovation. At the same time, she is the coordinator of the Slovak section of the worldwide movement for responsible and transparent fashion, Fashion Revolution, and one of the founding members of the Textile Center. At workshops in her studio KoloLab - clothing laboratory, she deals with an ethical approach to wardrobe and circular fashion design.
PETRA SLEZÁKOVÁ / SUSTAINABLE EVERYDAY VS. GREENWASHING
What is sustainability and what impact does our consumption have on the environment? Can we live circularly in today's cities and reduce our carbon footprint? Petra Slezáková will talk about topics such as waste minimization, voluntary modesty, food waste, the ecological footprint of animal production and greenwashing.
After 14 years of working in banking, she became aware of the global impact of consumer life associated with the amount of waste that our planet is overwhelmed with. She decided not to be a part of it and chose the path of responsible consumption and life without garbage. In 2016, she founded the blog Zero Waste Slovakia, where I motivate people to be responsible for the environment and show them the way to a zero waste lifestyle. I give lectures about zero waste at schools, companies and for the general public.

In case of bad weather, the lectures will take place at the Cultural and Social Center at Obrancev miru 2 (right next to the community garden) at the same time. We thank the Municipal Council of Košice-Sever for this opportunity.
