💬 The aim of Lukáš Likavčan's lecture is to bring the audience to the basic idea that motivates his work as a philosopher, and which moves between astronomy and environmental issues: earthly ecology is a genre of astronomy. Without an extraterrestrial point of view, we cannot understand our earthly problems, and without interplanetary research, the understanding of our own planet will be insufficient forever. The first reasoning will address ethical issues that accompany robotic missions planned for the purpose of obtaining samples from the celestial bodies.

🟨 The second reflection will focus on finding extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) and the environmental consequences of some solutions to Fermi's paradox. The third reflection will present the role of the design of the space scafanders for the future of climate adaptation, and the fourth will eventually focus on the aesthetic dimension of some astronomical observation methods (especially the examination of exoplanets and dark matter), which represent the ways of cultivating "the art of receptivity". philosopher. He is professionally involved in the philosophy of new technologies, environmental philosophy, and the philosophy of astronomy. He is currently acting as a researcher at the Think-Tank of Antikthera at the Berggruen Institute in Los Angeles, and in the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Culture at Nyu Shanghai. At Ual Central Saint Martins in London, he is a co-initiator of the EarthSuits Research and Education Project, and offers its consulting services to private companies and public institutions, such as Waag Futurelab in Amsterdam.
