About event
Mandatory for students with a major and minor in KT, recommended for others.
The practical seminar is focused on the role of the ballet master in the 21st century as a teacher, assistant and repeater in one person. On the example of specific examples, he will illustrate the aspects of this work.
Zdeněk Mládek (repetitor, ballet master, dancer, teacher, choreographer)
After completing his studies at TK hl.m. Prahy (1998) got a job in the ND ballet company in Prague, where he also created several demi-solo roles. In the years 2001-2021, he worked as a ballet soloist of the South Bohemian Theater in České Budějovice. His repertoire included not only classical, modern and character roles, but also parts from contemporary dance, e.g. J. Kylián, R. Horta, P. Zuska, J. Kodet, J. Horák, DEKKADANCERS, A. Pešková, L. Vaculík , M. Radačovský, P. Šimek, L. Králová, etc. He won a number of awards, e.g. several South Bohemian Thalia awards, appeared four times in broader nominations for the nationwide Thalia Award, in 2007 the Philip Morris Ballet Flower Award Poupé ballet and in 2009 the Thalia Award in the field of ballet, pantomime or another dance-dramatic genre. He now works at the South Bohemian Theater as a ballet master, repetiteur, choreographer's assistant and, last but not least, also as an occasional choreographer, e.g. Under the Skin. Pedagogically, he strives for other perspectives and approaches in conducting classical dance training. He devoted himself more deeply to these topics during his study of dance pedagogy at HAMU in Prague, which he finished with a master's degree. As a guest teacher, he also collaborated with the ballet troupe of the F. X. Šalda Theater in Liberec in the past.
