If at work you meet not only one client, but also his family (partners, children, extended family, or other members of the system), this series webinars, in video demonstrations and their analysis, in theoretical inputs and their reflection, and through case studies from practice, it will show you what skills, knowledge and attitudes help in working with relationships and relational dynamics in a counseling but also psychoeducational context.
This 12-month online program for a wide professional public
(psychologists, psychotherapists, mediators, coaches special and therapeutic pedagogues, clergy... but also students of these helping professions...) will offer a comprehensive view of couple and family counseling and therapy through the prism of integrative approaches - from relational ties to transgenerational topics to narrative reconstruction of the relationship.
Couple and family counseling and therapy – 12-month online program
Module 1 – Introduction to relationship work and of systems thinking
- Basics of couple and family therapy
- Family as a system: homeostasis, boundaries, subsystems
- Integrative approach: linking the main counseling and therapeutic schools
Module 2 – Theory of relational attachment and its application in couple and family work
- Attachment styles and their impact on relationships
- Work with avoidant, anxious and disorganized partners
- Emotional regulation and safety in the relationship
Module 3 – Communication patterns and conflict cycles
- Identification of destructive patterns
- Techniques of active listening, validation and expression of needs
- Working with defense mechanisms and reactivity
Module 4 – Emotions as a tool of change
- Primary vs. vicarious emotions
- Emotional alignment and corrective experiences
- Working with anger, hurt and frustration
Module 5 – Transgenerational and family themes and their impact on children
- Genogram as a diagnostic tool
- Family scripts, myths and loyalty
- Transgenerational traumas and their manifestation
Module 6 – Sexuality, intimacy and physicality in a relationship
- Normalizing differences in sexual needs
- Working with shame, blocks and taboos
- Intimacy as an emotional connection
Module 7 – Infidelity, loss of trust and the recovery process
- Typology of infidelity and its impact
- Phases of trust recovery
- Working with ambivalence and decision-making
Module 8 – Family roles, triangulation and dynamics
- Identification of rigid roles in the family
- Triangulation, parentification, scapegoating
- Restructuring of the family system
Module 9 – Couples counseling and therapy in crisis and separation
- Crisis interventions and short-term counseling
- Therapy during and after divorce
- Working with blended families
Module 10 – Working with children in the context of working with families
- Specific work with children in a family center according to developmental period
