Jungian coaching for working with altered states of consciousness
Two-day workshop in Prague with coach and lecturer James Frazier. James has been leading holotropic breathing workshops for over forty years and also has thirty years of experience in Jungian coaching. For over two decades, he has been teaching training with an emphasis on integration and further work with experiences of altered consciousness.
Intensive unusual states of consciousness, induced through a series of breathing practices (holotropic breathing, rebirthing, maitri breathing, etc.), using psychedelics and other methods of working with consciousness - or sometimes arising spontaneously - often activate archetypal and initiatory forces in the psyche, which require skilled psychological integration. Experiences sometimes also reveal the psyche's call for further inner growth and point to the need to regulate archetypal forces through the development of a more resilient and cohesive Self-Being Self structure.
This two-day workshop introduces Jungian coaching as a tool for inner development and growth in a non-pathologizing framework in the context of personal development. It is intended for professionals and advanced practitioners. It focuses on developmental aspects of individuation and an expanded understanding of how archetypes affect us in everyday life. We will examine the role and importance of the coherence of the Self-Being Self structure in the containment, utilization and regulation of these deep forces in the psyche, and we will also examine the shadow manifestations of these forces, which when unregulated often turn into pathological manifestations, compulsions and addictions, as well as unfinished initiation processes.
Based on the work of C.G. Jung and other leading classical and neo-Jungian theorists, the workshop will focus on the following topics:
• understanding unusual states of consciousness as initiation processes
• identification and regulation of archetypal energies
• prevention of inflation, fragmentation and spiritual avoidance
• strengthening the cohesive structure of the Self and the Being Self
• ethical accompaniment without interpretation or diagnostics
The workshop is not aimed at practicing altered states of consciousness. This is basic information about the potential of Jungian coaching for the integration of extraordinary states of consciousness and a possible introduction to professional training for facilitators, therapists, coaches, trainees and experienced practitioners of altered states of consciousness who want to deepen and expand their understanding of self-discovery maps. breathing methods that induce intense altered states of consciousness
• therapists who work with altered states of consciousness or psychedelic states of consciousness
• therapists and coaches who accompany transformational processes
• advanced training participants and experienced practitioners of altered states of consciousness who are interested in Jungian tools for the integration of extraordinary states of consciousness
Price of a two-day workshop 2,750 CZK, workshop will be conducted in English with a translation into Czech.

About to lecturers
James Frazier, M.A., is a Jungian coach, an experienced facilitator of breathing methods to induce altered states of consciousness, and a trainer of trainings that specialize in the psychological integration of extraordinary states of consciousness. With more than forty years of professional experience, he focuses his work on the ethical facilitation of altered states of consciousness and support in the management and long-term integration of archetypal and initiation experiences.
He was one of the six original lecturers who participated in the second half of the 1980s in the establishment of Grof Transpersonal Training - an institute for training in the facilitation of holotropic breathing- and contributed to the creation of the first standards for training and supervision in transpersonal and breathwork methods of personal development. In addition to his teaching and training activities, James has been running holotropic breathing workshops for over forty years and has been practicing Jungian coaching based on depth psychology for thirty years, with particular emphasis on the transition to middle age, initiation and individuation, as well as the integration of material obtained in altered states of consciousness.
James holds a Master of Arts degree from Bath Spa University (Department of Religion), where his academic research focused on the historical development of ancient archetypal symbolic systems, especially astrology, examined from a religious and psychological point of view.

MEET THE DEPTHS - JUNGIAN COACHING FOR PRACTITIONERS OF NON-ORDINARY STATES OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Two-day workshop in Prague with American lecturer, coach and trainer James Frazier, M.A., James has led Holotropic Breathwork workshops for over forty years and also sustained a thirty-year Jungian Coaching practice with particular emphasis on mid-life transition, initiation, and individuation. He created and has led his own trainings in breathwork and coaching for over two decades.
Powerful non-ordinary states of consciousness—arising through breathwork, psychedelic work, or spontaneous experience—often activate archetypal and initiatory forces that require skillful psychological integration. They also often reveal an inner call to further developmental work and point to a need for regulation of archetypal forces by development of a stronger cohesive ego-Self structure.
This two-day workshop introduces Jungian Coaching as a developmental, non-pathologizing framework for practitioners who support others after such experiences. It focuses on the developmental aspects of Individuation and expanded understanding of how archetypes affect us on a daily basis. We will explore the role and importance of the cohesive ego-Self structure in the connection, use and regulation of these deep forces within the psyche as well as explore the shadow expressions of these forces which when unregulated often turn into pathological expressions, compulsions and addictions as well as incomplete initiation processes.
Drawing on the work of C.G. Jung and other leading Classical and Neo-Jungian theorists, the training focuses on:
• Understanding non-ordinary states as initiator processes
• Locating and regulating archetypal energies
• Preventing inflation, fragmentation, and spiritual bypass
• Strengthening a cohesive ego–Self structure
• Ethical accompaniment without interpretation or diagnosis
This is not a self-experiential workshop of practicing NOSCs. It is a basic knowledge and potential introduction into professional training for facilitators, therapists, coaches, trainees, Experienced practitioners of NOSCs who wish to deepen their understanding of maps of inner exploration are also welcomed..
⸻
Who Should Attend
• Breathwork facilitators and trainers
• Practitioners working with non-ordinary or psychedelic states
• Therapists and coaches supporting transformational processes
• Advanced trainees and experienced practitioners of NOSCs seeking a Jungian integration model
The price of the two-day workshop is CZK 2,750. The workshop will be conducted in English with translation into Czech.
