Pop in Symphony: The Epic Symphonic Show 02.03.2027
A melody that the whole world knows, in a spectacular concept that will completely captivate you.
The majestic sound of the unique Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and the atmosphere of the most famous concert hall in the Czech Republic - all this makes the Pop in Symphony: The Epic Symphonic Show concert a fantastic musical event. Already on February 28, 2026, the Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum will host it.
The famous and globally successful hits of pop stars such as Lady Gaga, Adele, Madonna, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars or Britney Spears can be recognized by almost everyone from the first notes. Many of them have literally become phenomena across continents and engraved themselves in the hearts of fans of various generations. Nevertheless, they still manage to surprise. In a symphonic guise and accompanied by unmistakable strings, these songs take on a completely new, unexpected dimension.
The founder of the orchestra and its chief conductor, Martin Šanda, set himself a clear and yet very ambitious goal when choosing songs and creating original arrangements – to present the audience with something he knows very well, in a form that completely and perfectly disarms him. The result is a breathtaking musical experience, during which the audience in the hall can enjoy literally every note and note.
"The combination of pop hits and a full symphony orchestra provides an opportunity to get to know popular songs in their true musical breadth. A large orchestra can raise a composition to a completely different level. After all, come and see for yourself. We will be happy if you come to the Rudolfinum on February 28 and spend an evening in the company of not only pop hits, but also symphonic music the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and its guests,"
says BSOP director Martin Šanda, who especially loves the variety of music and the possibility of connecting individual genres.
The Pop in Symphony: The Epic Symphonic Show concert represents 90 minutes literally crammed with a selection of the best from the world of pop - across entire decades. Almost everyone will find something for themselves in the program. From fans of the legendary Swedish group ABBA and its timeless hits, to fans of punchy melodies from the charismatic Imagine Dragons, to lovers of the original work of a talent named Billie Eilish, who hit the world charts only a few years ago, and yet she already has not only a Grammy award, but is also a two-time winner of the Oscar for the best film song.
During the evening, for example, songs by Rihanna, Beyoncé, Mark Ronson or the phenomenal Celine Dion. Klára Jelínková and Jessica Conte will perform as soloists to the audience in the Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum.
The musicians of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague have rich experience in combining genres and pop music, which they have gathered on stages not only in Europe, but also in more distant corners of the world. The orchestra has completed countless successful projects, in which it has associated its name with world-renowned musical personalities, such as multiple Grammy winner Michael Bublé, violinist Vanessa-Mae, or the leaders of rock legends Deep Purple, Nazareth, Uriah Heep, Europe, Kosheen and many others.
The symphonic concept opens up unimagined possibilities for various musical genres, and compositions can come to life thanks to it. The director of the BSOP and its chief conductor Martin Šanda fully agree with this idea - and it is precisely because of this that his orchestra keeps finding new and new fans, not only here in the Czech Republic.
So don't miss a unique symphonic show performed by the majestic Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague. The musical charge that his talented musicians will serve you will resonate with you long after you leave the concert hall.
