MALAYSIAN SUMMER
- lectured by Tomáš Petrů - 9/9/2026 at 5:30 p.m.
Peninsular Malaysia, formerly known as Malaysia, is a magical mixture of 11 federal states, each of which has its own distinctive character. This is completed by the presence of numerous Chinese and Indian communities, which make Malaysia a colorful multi-ethnic society. We will visit the rapidly growing metropolis of Kuala Lumpur and its iconic Petronas Towers, historic Melaka, the Polynesian island of Tioman, conservatively Islamic Terengganu and Kelantan, and finally culturally rich Penang. Your guide on this virtual expedition will be an experienced Indonesian Dr. Tomáš Petrů, researcher at the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
