🎥 Expedition for the fate of Czechoslovaks in Soviet Kyrgyzstan

🎞 The ceremonial premiere of the new documentary film Gulag.cz will take place 🗓 24. 4. Fuffoned lives, remains of uranium mines and labor camps. Forgotten history in Kyrgyzstan is slowly taking away time and its knowledge is increasingly preventing the growing influence of Russia. Among the victims of Soviet repression there were also many inhabitants of Czechoslovakia. In the backward corner of the Soviet Empire they built a prosperous community. Their success, however, was cruelly redeemed by diseases, deaths and growing Stalinist terror. It was thanks to this expedition that the names of more than fifty Czechs and Slovaks, who became victims of Soviet repression. Over two dozen of them were executed in Stalin on the spot. What hides Kyrgyz archives and what is the local memory of Soviet terror? In the dark past of the Soviet Union, there are still many questions to look for answers, and a lot of thwarted lives that we should not forget.
