About event
Poetry in the open air or Sklená huta at Sklená huta
Poetry and easy hiking? Why not!? Come and listen to Ján Púček's poetry cycle Sklená huta directly in the place that inspired him - in the heart of the Small Carpathians, on the Sklená huta meadow already on July 19, 2026.
Who all lived in this place? Who shaped it? Who loved him? Who was leaving him? And how did it all turn into poems? Almost four hundred years of human settlement here can hardly be seen with the naked eye. So this Sunday walk will be a bit of a journey through time.
We will start the walk in Časta near the church. The road to Sklená huta following the green sign measures about 7 kilometers and should not take us more than two hours. We will have refreshments at the Glass Smelt and read several poems that are intrinsically linked to this place. We will return to Častava along the same route.
We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Častová church of St. Imrich. Transport either individually or by connections, which are less frequent on Sundays.
Recommended connection for the trip from Bratislava: BUS 540 (direction Budmerica) from Bratislava, Prievozská stop at 8:44. In Bratislava, there are also stops at Bajkalská, Mladá garda, Stn. Vinohrady, Nice road. Arrival at the Častá stop, square at 9:51 a.m.
Expected return to Častá around 4:30 p.m. (+/-). From there, either follow your own axis or take the trains back to Bratislava together (ideally, it would be ideal to catch the bus at 17:03 from Časta, but who knows...
With regard to the length of the trip, we recommend: good sturdy shoes, plenty of water (wells can be a problem at this time of year in the Carpathians), headgear, clothes in case of sudden bad weather (raincoat, windbreaker), adequate provisions. The walk is not difficult, but it should not be underestimated.
You need to register for the event.
The author is considering taking a few books with him.
