A dynamic tele-tennis battle on an XXL screen meets driving retro house vibes to make you go crazy Celebrate.
TELE TENNIS CUP 2026 | Pixels, levels, cult status!
Forget high-end graphics, VR glasses and 4K bells and whistles.
back to the roots – really! At the Pink Pixel Retro Party on August 15th, 2026, we'll be bringing the veteran of gaming history out of the basement directly onto the biggest and thickest screen in the city.
It's the game that started it all. Two bars, a “PIXEL ball” and pure escalation. Born in the darkest, smokiest arcade halls of the 70s and 80s, Tele Tennis, sometimes called PONG, is the granddaddy of all video games. Just you, your opponent, two controllers (called the paddle of death) and the absolute gravity of the pixel.
For the first time ever, we are holding the TELE TENNIS CUP in the middle of the epic backdrop of the film nights on the banks of the Elbe. Gaming in front of the world's best baroque silhouette. Epic rallies, dramatic failures and a hype level that is off the charts.
So that the atmosphere doesn't just boil, but completely explodes, we moderate two absolute legends: Falk Töpfer & "Käpt'n Tobi"! The two of them will comment on the spectacle live, celebrate every pixel hit and really heat you up verbally.
No matter whether you are a natural talent, just turn the dial wildly or celebrate the aesthetics - we want to see YOU at the console!
There will also be a TOTO FIX Ice Hockey Cup taking place. The game is played on mechanical 4-6 Totofix ice hockey machines. Retro team game “BOMBERMAN” on the 30 sqm LED screen ensures excitement and retro fun.
RETRO SUPER DISKO !
The Retro Super Party takes place at the same time in the covered area of the film nights.
DJ PIXELBERTO aka Electroberto, son of the Pixel Generation, creates a record mix & modern revival of retro house tunes, nu disco and 80s & 90s house vibes... A tasteful, highly danceable odyssey through the good and well-intentioned party potential of contemporary consumer capitalism.
