About event
I would like to invite you to my next workshop focused on technical differences between western classic singing and eastern singing styles. (See video in the discussion of the event)
The course is designed for classically trained singers who want to grind, for example, in Mediterranean music, Ottoman, Byzantine, Sefard.
The maximum participation is 5 singers. Morastenmusic@gmail.com
I will send the notes of the songs about 2 weeks in advance. At the same time, each participant can bring his own repertoire to work individually.
About me as a lecturer: Traditionally, modal music (regions of Iran, Greece, Turkey), and traditions where the influences of this modal music and western were mixed (eg flamenco or Balkan folk). On the border of classical western and eastern music, I perform with the ensemble for the Orthodox music Philokallia, led by the Cyprus composer Marios Christ.
