About event
We invite you to the open debate tournament, which will take place on November 2, 2024 in Prague! The tournament is intended for teams from schools in the Czech Republic.
Date: November 2, 2024, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Venue: Archbishop's Gymnázium in Prague, Korunní 586, 120 00 Prague 2
The tournament serves as preparation before the school rounds of this year's Debate. This date is intended for teams from the Czech Republic, if it does not suit you, you can register for the tournaments for Moravia or Silesia instead.

10:00 Start of the tournament
10:30 First round of debates (public transport)
11:30 Second round of debates (public transport)
12:30 Lunch break
13:30 Third round of debates (fairy tales / reality shows)
14:30 Fourth round of debates (fairy tales / reality shows)
15:30 Announcement of results
Theses
Pupils compete in two age categories, in the first category pupils of 6th and 7th .classes or primes and seconds, in II. category pupils of the 8th and 9th grades or third and fourth grades.
Common thesis for I. and II. category:
Public transport should change
Thesis for the I. category
Fairy tales should change
Thesis for the II. category:
Reality shows should change
If not enough teams apply in each category, all teams within one will debate. In this case, all teams will debate the thesis for the first category.
Meals
We ask that the participants provide their own meals (e.g. bring a large snack with them).

Debaters: 100 CZK
Pedagogical supervision and referee: free
After filling out the application form, you will receive an invoice by email with the data required for payment.
Send applications by Friday October 25 until 2:00 p.m. via an electronic form.

At the beginning of the tournament, every minor participant is obliged to submit the consent of the legal representative to participate in the competition. Please download the form and import it filled in.
