Otevřené workshopy v rámci festivalu Prague Balfolk Weekend

On Saturday, January 18, 2025, a lot of dance workshops will be held in Chvaly as part of the Prague Balfolk Weekend festival. Many of them are freely accessible not only to festival participants.

Come and learn e.g. Breton, Albanian, Greek or Jewish dances. No previous experience or dance partner is necessary. The workshops will be held in English.

You don't have to register anywhere, just pack your dancing shoes (preferably without heels), a bottle of water, or a t-shirt to change into and come. We will be happy for a voluntary entrance fee.

All workshops take place near the Chvaly bus stop (only 5 minutes by bus from Černý Most).

Breton dances: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Chvalská stodola (Na Chvalská tvrzi 3103/7)
Dances from the Mediterranean: 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in ZŠ Stoliňská gymnasium (Stoliňská 2440/8)
Fandango de Pollença: 1:45-3:15 p.m. ZŠ Stoliňská gym (Stoliňská 2440/8)
Balfolk arena - Games with space: 15:30-17:00 in the ZŠ Stoliňská gym (Stoliňská 2440/8)

Open workshops at Prague Balfolk Weekend

On Saturday 18th January 2025, there will be many workshops as part of Prague Balfolk Weekend. And guess what? Most of them are open also to the public without the festival pass!

Come and learn e.g. some dances from Brittany or the Mediterranean (Macedonian, Albanian, Greek, Jewish). No previous experience is needed, you don't even need a partner. Workshops will be taught in English.

You don't need to register, just pack your dancing shoes, a bottle of water and perhaps a spare t-shirt, come and have fun. We will be grateful for a voluntary entry fee.

All the workshops take place in Chvaly (just 5 minutes by bus from Černý Most, bus stop Chvaly).
