Otec (Nvotová, 2025)

An intense and emotionally powerful drama about guilt, loss and trying to save relationships that begin to fall apart after one tragic mistake. Tereza Nvotová's new film brings a raw, civil and extremely topical view of masculinity, family and the fragility of interpersonal relationships.
The story follows a loving father whose life turns upside down after an unexpected tragedy. While he tries to come to terms with the consequences of his own decisions, he gradually discovers that the hardest fight may not be with the world around him, but with himself.
One of the most anticipated Slovak films of recent years, which confirms Tereza Nvotová as one of the most outstanding directors of her generation.
