About event
We invite you to a unique evening dedicated to the Savot holiday, during which we commemorate the acceptance of the Torah on Mount Sinai - a gift that for millennia forms the Jewish tradition, identity and everyday life. In the spirit of the habit of the tulkun, the Shavuot is symbolically ascending to the Sinai mountain through prayer, studying biblical texts and rabbinical comments, singing traditional songs and sharing ideas about the meaning of ten commandments today.
In the evening in Czech and English will be guided by Rabbi David Maxa (EC Chajim Prague) and rare guests - Rabbi Lea Mühlstein and Rabbi Andrew Goldstein (Ark Synagogue, London). Ralph Selig, one of the largest experts on Central European synagogical music, will take up the musical accompaniment. You will also taste traditional cheesecake. The event takes place in cooperation with the progressive Jewish community EC Khajim.
Admission 150 CZK. Buying tickets on the spot is not possible.
