About event
🎵 New impulse of Slovak improvisation. 🎶
Oskar Török Sextet is a new group of authors that presents a vision of Slovak jazz, built on improvisation, emotion and compositional playfulness.
The band was formed spontaneously: Oskar Török, a long-time trumpeter with a wide interpretation, joined with renowned and younger musicians to create a formation in which every voice has space — from an expressive trumpet solo to a colorful saxophone and clarinet, lyrical vocals to the rhythmic depth of the bass and the dynamics of the drums.
The music of the sextet combines written compositions with free improvisations — the compositions are like moods: they evoke life elements such as water, fire, earth or air, but at the same time adhere to a melodic line and structure. Simona Hulejová enriches the music with vocals, which are more than just an accompanying decoration — they become one of the instruments, a color and an emotional bridge. www.jazz.sk
The Oskar Török Sextet performance is an invitation to a journey — the listener will be drawn into intimate moments and explosive crescendos, between meditation and energetic explosion. For all those looking for music that is not afraid of vulnerability or experimentation, it is an evening that will remain in the drawers of memories.
