Come on, we are open! As part of the Open House Prague Open Buildings Festival, we want to invite you to our world - to the former brewery building, where a new cultural center is slowly but surely being created. What will it be when it is? And what is it now? Come and take a look, let history and enthusiasm for the future breathe on you and taste our program.

What will await you?

Commented tours of the lower and upper buildings. The tours will be every 30 minutes, from 12:00 to 17:30.

Commented tours will take place in the Czech language.

It was the royal councilor Albrecht Bryknar from Brukštejn, who founded a small brewery in Libni in the 16th century. A century later, it, like the entire estate, became the property of the Old Town of Prague. The history of the brewery was rather turbulent. The complex was destroyed during wars in the 18th century, then restored and expanded in the 19th century. However, it was damaged by a flood at the end of the century and was canceled in 1900. It was replaced by a warehouse, apartments and workshops, and part of the complex was demolished. A few years later, the Fire Station for Prague 8 was established here, and in 1969, the S. K. Neumann Theater acquired its premises. Only the main brewery building, a late Baroque building from the beginning of the 19th century, has survived to this day. The building has a rectangular floor plan and a gable roof, and its corner is highlighted by a fine one-sided bossing. The brewery is owned by the City Council of Prague 8, which had it reconstructed in 2001. Unfortunately, the following year it was damaged by a flood. In the next twenty years, a suitable use was sought for the empty building with a large hall and a number of rooms. We - Studio ALTA - have now moved into it and are planning to completely renovate it.
