It's not every day that you hear a song for the first time Camille Saint-Säens symphony! The French genius, whose four mature symphonies are known, actually has a fifth in his catalogue. The first one he wrote, at the age of 17, will be heard for the first time in Portugal. Complementing the program, colorful music by Frederick Delius and an Overture in Italian style, written for an imaginary opera by the also young Schubert, inspired by Rossini's models and good humor.
