We cordially invite you to the first Underground meeting as part of the Invisible Playground series, which will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the meadow of the Bubeneč Wastewater Treatment Plant, Prague 6.
Come and join into a common space for sharing, listening, imagining and finding new ways to perceive the playground not only as a physical place, but also as a space of relationships, rules, possibilities and invisible experiences.
On the occasion of Children's Day, we have a program full of interactive activities. The thematic stations will present the city as a living organism full of visible and invisible connections.
Using creative workshops, movement activities and simple experiments, we will investigate where water flows, where waste disappears, who takes care of the cleanliness of the city and how sound spreads through space. Children will try working with a map, material, colors, prints and sound. Individual stations will be connected by a joint game, during which children and their friends will collect parts of the map and gradually uncover an invisible place.
The event will take place outside in any weather, we recommend suitable clothes and shoes that can get dirty, as well as a snack and headgear. Refreshments will also be provided - drinks and something sweet.
The event is intended for children and their companions and will offer a program that will delight visitors of all ages.
After the meeting, we will move together to the garden party in the Tusculum area.
Visitors are obliged to move only in the accessible parts of the area and respect the barriers, hatches, markings and instructions of the organizers. Manipulation of hatches, covers, barriers and technical elements of the area is prohibited. Children can only move around the premises under the supervision of an adult.

What is underground? How to be able to recognize, hear and feel the systems that keep us going, even if they are not visible? And how to tell if they are disturbed or broken?
The outdoor spaces of the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bubenč serve as a field for investigating the hidden metabolisms of the city. They show us ingenious filtration systems that mimic the self-cleaning processes in nature, but under control and in an accelerated mode. And they also allow us to think about activities that often remain hidden or unappreciated, such as invisible work (e.g. caring for others), but also entire groups of people - human and non-human, often invisible to others. Who or what shapes the web of visibility and invisibility, advantage and exclusion? Who cleans and who uses this service? How to learn to see, hear, feel, unfold these processes, events, systems? Where is my place in them?
