About event
THE IMMORTAL CASANOVA in KD Kraków
18. 6. 2026 from 19.00 in KD Kraków
Naughty and witty comedy full of humor, symbols and magic.
It is a play full of meanings, experiences and information.
The famous Giacomo Casanova (1725 - 1798) lived the last phase of his life at the castle in Duchcov in Bohemia. He is haunted by visions and ghosts of the past. He wants to become immortal through literature and writes his memoirs. What if he lived his rich life just to be an inspiration to her?
Questions about the meaning of life are represented by acting actions that are actually remorse. The actress appears as a series of apparitions impersonating the host of Casano's women. She gradually disguises herself as his lovers from different periods of her life. Small and big dishonesties committed by the old seducer come to the surface.
Also here you will hear the music of Casanova's life. He was originally a violinist, he even played in a theater orchestra for two years.
The world of music and theater had an important social role in his time. Samples of compositions by Mozart, Locatelli, as well as Bach and Vivaldi will be heard.
Box office in KD Kraków Mon-Thurs 16-19 and one hour before the performance
