About event
Petr Nekoranec – tenor
Arnheidur Eiríksdóttir – mezzo-soprano
Ivo Kahánek – piano
Guests – students of the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague
All three great artists, Petr Non-natives, Arnheidur Eiríksdóttir and Ivo Kahánek, also enjoy singing with great success. And a rare gem of Czech song literature is the cycle for tenor, alto, three female voices and piano Notebook of the Disappeared about the passionate love of a simple village boy Janíček for the beautiful gypsy Zefka. Since its premiere on April 18, 1921 at the Reduta in Brno, The Notebook of the Disappeared has become a favorite part of the repertoire of many tenors. Petr Nekoranec also often presents the composition at his concerts. This year, together with the recent winner of the prestigious international survey Opera Awards 2024 in the Rising Star category, the Icelandic mezzo-soprano Arnheidur Eiríksdóttir, nominated for the 2024 Thalia Award for the role of Composer in Strauss's opera Ariadne na Nax at the Estates Theatre, he recorded the cycle on a CD published by Radioservis. The two leading soloists of the National Theater Opera will be accompanied on the piano by the excellent piano virtuoso Ivo Kahánek.
And since the concert takes place in the festive time before Christmas, you can also look forward to a Christmas surprise!
