🎹 The concert will feature the piano quintets of Alexander Albrecht and Štefan Németh-Šamorínsky performed by Magdalena BAJUSZOVA (piano) and the MUCHA QUARTET 🎻
🎼 PROGRAM
Alexander ALBRECHT (1885-1958): Piano Quintet
Štefan NÉMETH-ŠAMORÍNSKY (1896-1975): Piano Quintet, Op. 52
🎶 Alexander Albrecht and Štefan Németh-Šamorínsky studied with Béla Bartók and are among the important representatives of Slovak music of the 20th century. Alexander Albrecht's piano quintet was created in 1913, it combines subtle lyricism and downright symphonic monumentality. Štefan Németh-Šamorínský's piano quintet from 1956 combines expressive melody with neoclassical elements and rich harmonic invention, creating a distinctive style of linking tradition and modernity.
