🔺 What challenges are women exposed to in the media? Is there a female perspective? What is allowed and what is better not to say? Do politicians and the public treat women in public spaces differently than their male counterparts? Why is cyberbullying so successful in the Czech Republic? And what about professional collegiality in newsrooms?
🔑 The debate takes place as part of Freedom Week 2024.

TEREZA ENGELOVÁ
is a journalist and documentary filmmaker. Since 2008, she has lived in Pakistan, where she taught journalism and film at the Fatima Jinah Women's University. In 2014-2015, she lived in Gaziantep, Turkey, where she focused on the Syrian conflict. She participates in the investigative website HlidaciPes.org.
VERONIKA SEDLÁČKOVÁ
is a journalist and presenter, since 2023 she has been working as a press spokesperson for the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. She is the co-founder of the Women in the Media platform.
MICHAELA VETEŠKOVÁ
is the head of the Czech Radio's cultural reporting department. He writes fairy tales for children, lectures and leads seminars on radio work at the CMTF of the Palacký University in Olomouc.
