About event

Practicing Nonviolent Communication with Marica Laščeková
For less arguments and more understanding in relationships

This course is an invitation to stop, slow down and look at how we communicate - with children, with other adults and with ourselves. Not through lessons, but through our own experience and specific situations from life.

We will meet three times and each block will be devoted to a different layer of communication - from self-understanding, through conflict resolution to mediating understanding between others.

The course is mainly intended for parents and guides who want more understanding in relationships and less tension, blame and helplessness.

How will the meetings be? take place
1. meeting - From evaluation to understanding
At the first meeting, we will focus on the basics of Nonviolent Communication - the difference between description and evaluation. We will examine how often judgments, labels and automatic reactions enter into communication, which close rather than open relationships.

We will go through the range of feelings and learn to distinguish what we really feel. We will gradually get to what needs are hidden behind our feelings.

An important topic will also be the difference between action strategies and real needs.
For example, the sentence: "Put that phone down, you're always using it." is a strategy.
Nonviolent communication, however, goes deeper – it touches the place from which our behavior originates. In this case, it can be, for example, an unfulfilled need for closeness, contact or attention.

2. meeting - Conflict resolution and self-talk
The second meeting will focus on conflicts - both internal and in relationships. We will learn how to talk about ourselves in a way that does not accuse, but opens a dialogue.

We will touch on self-talk and look for ways to:

name what is happening inside us,
establish a bridge of understanding with the other,
remain in contact even in difficult situations.
We will show how conflict can be perceived not as a failure, but as an opportunity for a deeper understanding.

3. meeting - Conducting mediations
The third meeting will be dedicated to mediation - i.e. situations when we stand "between" two parties to a conflict (e.g. between children, between a child and an adult, between colleagues). by others.
We will show how a mediator can create a space in which both sides can hear and be heard.

How we will work
We will show all topics using concrete examples that the participants bring from their own lives - from family, work or relationships.

It will not be about "correct answers", but a living exercise in which we learn through experience, testing and sharing.

What the course can bring you
meeting with yourself
getting to know your own feelings more deeply
contact with what you really need
awareness of a state of your being in which some needs are not fulfilled
greater inner clarity, peace and authenticity
new ways to be in relationships without pressure and guilt
Nonviolent communication is not only about words - it is about the way we are present in relationships.

About the lecturer

Marica Laščeková is a lecturer, guide and mother of four children. For a long time, she has been dedicated to respectful communication, parenting and accompanying people in difficult relationship and life situations.

Non-violent communication is not experienced as a technique, but as a way of being in relationships - at home, at work and in communities. In his work, he combines theoretical knowledge with the deep personal experience of a parent, a guide and a person who himself has gone through many internal processes.

He creates a safe and accepting space in which people can learn without fear of evaluation, guilt or pressure to perform. She supports participants in meeting themselves, their feelings and needs, and finding their own way to be authentic and responsible in relationships.

She is the co-founder of the Joyful World project, which is dedicated to supporting children, parents and guides in the field of respectful upbringing, self-directed learning and building healthy relationships. She has extensive experience in conducting courses, workshops and long-term educational programs for parents, educators and community education groups.

Her approach is human, truthful and gentle, but at the same time clear and anchored. It does not offer ready-made solutions, but guides people to find them themselves - in harmony with themselves and with others.
