About event
Experiential lecture and workshop
Flowers have accompanied human culture for centuries – they decorate gardens, carry deep symbolism and inspire art and everyday life. Another flower evening from the Museum blooms cycle, this time it will focus on irises and peonies – distinctive garden plants with a rich history and meaning.
Peonies are among the longest-lived ornamental plants and in Chinese culture they symbolize wealth, honor and happiness. Associated with the rainbow and variety of colors, irises have already fascinated ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians. Come and discover their stories, meaning and place in garden art.
An exhibition, thematic lecture, creative workshop inspired by Midsummer traditions and seasonal refreshments await you.
