MUSIKALISCHE SOIRÉE

Pianist Julia Maria Sliwa and oboist Sebastian Sima organize the evening, like a sensory journey into a world of “romances without words”.

Whispering, complaining, cheering, they tell of devotion, passion and longing for a narrative connection from high and late romanticism to the neo-romantic soundscape of Peter Hrncirik.

The arc spans from Richard Strauss, Clara Schumann to Frederic Chopin to the evening's crowning Suite Japonaise by Peter Hrncirik. This was created in 2014/15 and was premiered by this same ensemble in Vienna in 2018 and recorded on CD this autumn.
