🇸🇰 Possibilities of Hungarian-Slovak reconciliation and cooperation
📅 April 29, 2026, Wednesday, 4:30-9:00 p.m.
📍 Zichy Palace, Staré Mesto, Bratislava
We invite you to an evening dedicated to one of the important issues of Hungarian-Slovak relations: how to talk about historical topics so that they do not set us against each other, but help open the way to the future.
We believe that true reconciliation does not begin with silence, but with an open, cultured and good-natured dialogue. The aim of the event is to create a space for intellectuals and politicians to think together about what still divides us, what can unite us and what concrete steps can move Hungarian-Slovak relations towards greater trust and cooperation. Hungarian-Slovakian parallels and conflicts
🕡 18:30-19:40 Political discussion on Hungarian-Slovak reconciliation
Juraj Buzalka (social anthropologist)
Eva Kowalská (historian)
Attila Simon (historian)
Moderator: István Kollai
László Gubík (Aliancia - Szötségé)
Martin Dubéci (PS)
František Mikloško (KDH)
Juraj Droba (SaS)
Moderated by: Laura Bárcziová
🕢 19:45-19:55 Closing remarks
🥂 20:00-21:00 Informal reception
The event is organized by the Terra Recognita Foundation and the Hungarian College in Bratislava.
