MORENA is a musical group of musician Andrea Bučko and SND actress Dominika Fischer Kavaschová, which was created based on the production of the same name, which they wrote together with Matúš Kvietik for SND in 2018.

After the success of the songs in this production, they decided to form joint band and release an album with songs not only from the production, but also their new joint work, which was created during the "corona isolation" period.

Andrea is more dedicated to music and Dominika to lyrics, but as they say themselves, they sometimes jump into each other's work. They perform in a chamber ensemble together with drummer Ema Kakarová, but also in a richer ensemble together with a group of their university classmates, the OJV band. Their music contains a lot of humor, but it also has its tender lyrical side, typical of Andrea's songwriting.

Andrea Bučko (1989) has been one of the most prominent musical figures not only in Slovakia but also abroad in recent years. In addition to writing music and lyrics, he also sings, plays the piano and is engaged in teaching and theater directing. In 2012, she released her debut acoustic album In the middle of..., on which she collaborated with her long-time partner, harpist Mária Kmeťková. In 2015, the POLARITY album and in 2018, the Escape album, which was created in the Cité des Arts artist residency in Paris. She has presented her music at various festivals at home and abroad (Mea Jazz Festival Portugal, Jazz fest Wien, Royal park festival Brussels, LAVA jazz Azores, Waves Vienna, Pinoy Jam Paris, Pohoda festival, Bratislava jazz days and many others...) Her work is characterized by engaging musical ideas and a suggestive, sensitive singing expression. It mixes several genres, starting with jazz, soul, French chanson, ending with the influences of Slovak folklore and world music. Andrea is also the author of music and co-author of the play Morena in SND, which she wrote together with Dominika Kavaschová (actress of the Slovak National Theatre). Thanks to this act, they received an invitation to perform together at TEDx Women Bratislava 2019 and founded the band MORENA.

Dominika Fischer Kavaschová (1989) is one of the most cast actresses of the Slovak National Theatre. At her young age, she is already a two-time laureate of the prestigious theater award in Slovakia - Dosky (2013 for the breakthrough of the season in the production of Fajčiárka a spasitelky and 2015 for the best acting performance in Mojmír II or Súmrak riše). She is also the co-author of the play Morena at SND and Taxi Bratislava at the Gunagu Theatre. He comes from Košice, but has been living and creating in Bratislava for eleven years. In addition to working in SND and Gunag, he is a regular guest at the Aréna, L+S, and Studio 12 theaters. In addition to the theater, he is also involved in filming, and has completed several projects such as Doktor Ludsky, Panelák, Odsúdené, Prázdníny, Hotel Deluxe, Chlapi neplačú, Sistričky and Oteckovia. In his free time, he writes his own texts and paints.
