About event
The Mnozil Brass Ensemble is one of the most popular guests of the Prague Proms festival and regularly captivates the audience with its energy, virtuosity and distinctive humor. Strau$$ pays homage to the king of waltzes, Johann Strauss, and effortlessly combines his musical legacy with its own, genre-diverse aesthetic.
Founded in 1992, the ensemble has gained international recognition for its unique fusion of musical styles. It is not just a classical brass band - Mnozil Brass offers a diverse mix ranging from classical and jazz to pop and world music. In addition to traditional brass instruments, they also use less common ones, such as specially modified flutes and bass trumpets, which give their performances an unmistakable sound.
Seven virtuosos have been bridging musical worlds with insight for more than thirty years - from Johann Strauss to Frank Sinatra to Prince or Queen. Their concerts are full of exaggeration, theatrical elements and live interaction with the audience, thanks to which every evening turns into a unique experience.
