Theater is a mission. Precarization are temporary, risky and non -standard employment. Work in the field of culture is overwhelmed in Slovakia. All three statements are correct and at the same time are closely related to each other. How out of this triangle? Can today's political-social situation help to change in the future? What certainty can people work in culture? ~
🔴 Thursday June 19 11:00 - Suttle: Theater and Politics ⚫
Theater as a mirror of social situation, a way of resistance to authoritarianism, but also a tool of state and politicians to pursue their goals and strategic intentions. We will talk about the relationship of theater and politics, about artistic freedom, the specific position of the theater/artistic institutions established in the structure of public administration, but also about the role of independent theaters in the sector of NGOs and non -profit organizations, in Slovak and international context. Do Slovak creators understand how teenagers think about the world and place in it? What are the specifics of teenagers, what are the operating conditions and audience's interest?
