Mission Command

We live in a time of geopolitical, technological and internal political disruptions - and traditional ways of managing are no longer enough. Detailed plans become obsolete before you finish writing them. Control from above stifles initiative.

Mission command – task command – offers another way. This principle, proven by two centuries of military experience, is based on a simple idea: define the intention and the desired result, but let your team choose their own method of execution. The result is an organization that is faster, more flexible and more resilient - exactly what today's times require.

Tomáš Řepa (historian, educator, active reservist) will show you, using specific stories from history and the present, how mission command changed and is changing the way people are led. As a guest, Jiří Panuška (BC21, Červený Jelen, active midfielder) will show where artificial intelligence is taking this principle today.
