About event
The 19th Žilina Missing Maps mapathon will take place live at the premises of Descartes Systems Group Slovakia (Poštová 1, Vlčince, 010 08 Žilina) as well as online via Zoom on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mapathon (mapping marathon) is open to the general public and there is no entrance fee. We will be there together creating a digital map based on satellite images for the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders. If you don't have experience with remote mapping, it doesn't matter. You will learn everything on the spot. After a short training, you will be able to map yourself. We also cordially invite experienced mappers who no longer need any training and just want to map undisturbed.
