Milonga with DJ Juliana and live sets with Nazarena Cáceres and Nico Satriani (Tango Fusion)
Event by: Haus der Sinne
Location: Haus der Sinne, Ystader Straße 10, Berlin - Bezirk Pankow
About event
From Buenos Aires comes a voice to Berlin that transcends borders and genres.
The Argentinian singer, composer and conductor, Nazarena Cáceres, trained in violin and singing at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory, has performed with renowned ensembles such as La Martino Orquesta Típica (nominated for the Gardel Awards 2017) and was awarded the Hugo del Carril Prize in 2014 awarded.
Now she presents her new solo project together with guest musician Nico Satriani (harmonica): a lively fusion of tango and Argentine folk music with hip-hop and global sounds (world music). Her work combines roots and modernity, tradition and experimentation, inviting audiences on a unique musical journey where poetry, improvisation and urban pulse flow together.
She currently directs the Estudio Tango Contemporáneo in Buenos Aires and develops curatorial projects that explore the interface between performing arts and music. Her presence in Berlin builds a bridge between cultures and brings the intensity of the Río de la Plata to the European stage.
The two live sets take place on the lower dance floor, on the upper dance floor DJ Juliana plays a consistent mix of neo, non, contemporary and traditional tango music.
