WHO IS MILAN KÓLACEK
Milan Koláček (*1979) is the representative of the Czech Republic in ocean solo yachting, the winner of the French solo championship in 2012 and in the same year he became the Person of the Year of the Czech Maritime Yachting Association. He has been living in France for 9 years, where he is dedicated to solo yachting at the highest level. It is necessary to live and work here so that the yachtsman is in contact with the latest technologies, with the necessary information and, of course, with the world's best. Apart from his own regatta, he participated in the preparations of other teams, such as Credit Mutuel de Bretagne, Spindrift Racing or ACTUAL. As a preparer, he worked on the most modern racing specials, including the largest trimarans of the Ultime category. He is often invited to the demanding completions of other carbon racing specials and to the helms of other teams that hire Milan. Since 2014, it has been active in the Figaro class of ships. He is a member of the Lorient Grand Large Association, which brings together solo yachtsmen and organizes their further education in fields related to competitive solo yachting.
