About event
-- Mike Oldfield's legendary Tubular Bells I, II & III will be heard together for the first time in a unique concert in Prague ---
🎶 Sunday 13 September 2026
📍 O2 universum, Prague
After two sold-out concerts in 2024 and 2025, the iconic music of Mike Oldfield returns to Prague – this time with the unique project The Best of Tubular Bells I, II & III.
The legendary albums will be played together for the first time:
Tubular Bells
Tubular Bells II
Tubular Bells III
GREAT EUROPEAN TOUR
The Prague concert is part of the extended celebrations of more than 50 years since the release of the first album and the new European tour in 2026.
The conductor and artistic director of the project is Robin A. Smith, Oldfield's longtime collaborator. Together, they presented Tubular Bells at iconic locations such as Edinburgh Castle or London's Horse Guards Parade.
Under his direction, an exceptional cross-section of three decades of Oldfield's work will be heard in Prague - performed by a top orchestra whose players were personally selected by Oldfield.
MUSIC THAT CHANGED HISTORY
I.
The first Tubular Bells (1973), which Oldfield began composing at the age of seventeen, became a worldwide sensation and is still one of the best-selling instrumental albums of all time. The iconic motif was also made famous by the cult film The Exorcist.
II.
This was followed by the monumental premiere of Tubular Bells II at Edinburgh Castle and six years later Tubular Bells III, inspired by the electronic scene of Ibiza.
III.
The third Prague concert, held as part of the extended grand celebration of fifty years since the first release of Tubular Bells, will be part of a new European tour in 2026.
✨ Strong emotions. Iconic tunes. Music that has stood the test of time. This night will be one to remember.
