About event
The Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ is one of the largest surviving instruments of its kind in Europe. In 1929, Werner Ferdinand von Siemens, the grandson of the company's founder, acquired it from the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company in North Tonawanda, NY. It has four manuals, 1228 pipes and more than 200 registers. There is also a large number of percussion and effect instruments. The rumbling of thunder and birdsong, the wailing of sirens and the ringing of bells – the sound palette of the Mighty Wurlitzer is worth hearing. In the short concert with explanations you will get to know the instrument and immerse yourself in its sound world. You will experience famous film melodies, hits and classical highlights.
