Bratislava during the Second World War and in the first post-war years until the beginning of the communist regime has gone through several redrawing of borders. Several new public buildings, schools and boarding schools were built on the changing territory of the city, and entire residential areas and sports grounds were also built here.
The lecture by architect Michal Bogár will be a story about the planning and building of the city during the most destructive war in history, about visions and failures, about the stories of houses, their authors and builders. Among them were Jewish architects who were persecuted by the Ludák regime and many of whom never returned from the Nazi concentration camps.
