Metropol Sweat: Takuya Nakamura

The Metropol Sweat club concert series presents a new curatorial concept full of dance energy and an innovative approach to music. Already on July 23, the area of the Bratislava Metropol will be transformed into the epicenter of the New York underground. The guest will be the visionary trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Takuya Nakamura.

Takuya, a native of Tokyo established on the world but especially the New York avant-garde scene, is a musical chameleon. The world knows him thanks to his collaborations with icons like CocoRosie and Nervous Cabaret, but his solo sets are pure energy. In them, he perfectly fluidly connects organic jazz with harsh drum & bass, dub, ambient and precise electronics. In his sets, he combines his jazz roots with modern electronic production. His dedication to his craft and ability to transcend genres make him a true pioneer of contemporary music.

Unlike the usual concert offer, this format is focused on presenting progressive electronic projects and leading foreign DJs. The main purpose of the series is to bring innovative trends from the world club scene and convey an intense musical experience in close contact with the performers.
