Matt Maltese is a writer, a do-gooder, a poet. Since 2018, he has been doing his part to not give up hope with realistic lyrics in harmonious sound garb - and he has given this hope in his five studio albums to date. The singer-songwriter's debut work "Bad Contestant" was released in 2018 and introduced the piano-driven, playful sound with typical British wit, the trademark of which is the musician's incredibly high singing voice, which often drifts into falsetto. The album quickly finds favor with fans and critics and establishes Matt Maltese as a talented young British artist. This is how the journey of the singer-songwriter begins, who will publish four more artistic works in the coming years. While “Krystel” from 2020 seamlessly continued the success of the debut, “Good Morning It’s Now Tomorrow,” which followed a year later, shows the Brits being even more sincere than usual, while trying to push the despair of their own insignificance into the background through small, escapist, everyday moments. Successfully! The tight release cycle continues, and in the following years Matt Maltese also releases two touching records with a warmer, fuller sound, “Driving Just To Drive” and “Songs That Aren’t Mine”, in which the artist focuses, among other things, on the connection to his homeland. And the Londoner isn't allowing himself a break in 2025 either, on the contrary: he has already announced his next long player, “Hers”, for May 16th, which he produced completely single-handedly. An album that he describes on his socials as a “real treasure”. Of course, so much material needs to be played live, which is why Matt Maltese is heading to Berlin in December of this year.
