Access to appropriate finance is a key success factor for high‑impact organizations—and often a major challenge. This practice‑oriented masterclass offers an accessible introduction to funding options and financial structuring for anyone involved in developing, managing, or financing impact‑driven projects.

Participants will gain an overview of the typical financial needs of high‑impact organizations and explore available funding options, from debt and equity to hybrid instruments. The session supports both experienced practitioners and those who are newer to financial topics, helping them better understand funding mechanisms and assess which forms of financing fit their organization’s goals and stage of development.

With a strong practical focus, the masterclass builds confidence for discussions with banks, investors, and funders—whether participants are already in decision‑making roles or preparing to take on greater responsibility.

Target group
This masterclass is open to professionals working in high‑impact organizations, including project leads, finance staff, aspiring leaders, and anyone involved in financial planning, fundraising, or strategic development. Basic knowledge of accounting and financial planning is recommended but not mandatory.

Participants will be supported to:

• Gain an overview of funding options and financial instruments (debt and equity) relevant for high‑impact organizations
• Prepare for discussions with financial partners, funders, and investors
• Contribute to financial, liquidity, and capital planning that enables future growth and increased impact

To top things off, the Masterclass will be joined by Nicole Füreder, CFO-turned-startup-advisor who started her career in corporate finance before her time as CFO at woom lit a fire for the speed and complexity of early-stage ventures. Today she helps founders across the DACH region build the financial clarity they need to grow with confidence. After the session, Nicole will stick around for a live discussion — bringing the theory to life with real-world experience from both sides of the table AND room for your questions!
