MASTER BOOT RECORD (aka MBR ) is a project founded in 2016 by producer Victor Love (AKA Vittorio D'amore) that combines heavy metal and electronic synthesizer music.
The project as a live band began its live activities in 2018 with renowned Live artists such as guitar virtuoso and Ibanez endorser Edoardo Taddei on lead guitar and technical death metal drummer Giulio Galati. MBR has released 14 albums on various record labels and is one of the most successful musicians on the planet US digital distribution platform Bandcamp and reached number 1 on the general charts several times. For this reason, Bandcamp has often featured the albums and interviews directly with the artists. Since 2016, he has been releasing albums under the indie label Data Airlines and in 2018 switched to the cult synthwave label Blood Music, expanding his audience to the electronic community In 2019, MASTER BOOT RECORD partnered with Metal Blade Records, the historic metal label based in Los Angeles, to release the last two albums, "Floppy Disk Overdrive (2020)" and "Personal Computer (2022)". release, which helped the project grow in popularity worldwide.
MBR also produced the video game "VirtuaVerse" as well as its original soundtrack.
The rapid growth of the project sparked intense live activity that began in 2023 with over 42 shows, including 2 full tours in Europe and the UK as well as participation in renowned European festivals such as Resurrection Fest (Spain), Euroblast (Germany), Complexity Fest (Netherlands), Resistanz Festival (UK), SWR Fest
(Portugal), Frantic Fest (Italy)
The band is currently scheduled to perform at the major European festival Brutal Assault (Czech Republic) in summer 2024 and has recently signed up with major booking agencies Doomstar Booking in Europe and Joined Heavy Talent in North America.
