About event
📸 Baptism of the new book by Marie Tomanová: Kate, For You And sharing. This series of 36 films is presented in the original ranking as one compact work - a personal, fragile and extremely impressive testimony of the emerging relationship between the photographer and its muse. It follows Toman's previous book Young American (2019) and further develops its sensitive approach to visual narration and relations between photographer and its entities. The publication of this exceptional work that opens up new possibilities of perception of photography-as media of proximity, susceptibility and shared presence.
We are looking forward to seeing you! Toman's New Book Kate, For You-An intimate and visually Powerful Portrait Created Over the Span of Eight Years, Celebrating Photography As A Process of Dialogue, Trust, and Shared Experience.
Complete First Roll of Film Toman Shot During and Single Afternoon in 2017, In Kate’s Brooklyn Apartment. This sequence of 36 images is presented in ITS Original Order as One Cohesive Work-A Personal, Delicate, and Deeply Moving Testimony to the Emerging Connection Between the Photographer and Her Muse Boundaries of Traditional Portraiture. Building On Toman's Previous Book Young American (2019), IT Continues Her Sensitive Approach to Visual Storytelling and the Relationships She Forms With Her Subjects.
