Marek Novotný – special crossover concert

Marek Novotný & Crossover project – a special acoustic concert this time in an arrangement for string quintet and vocal sextet. An evening full of music in the ancient environment of the church of St. Vavřinec, which today serves as the Prague Spring concert hall.

Marek Novotný, composer and pianist, will present his new and older compositions adapted exclusively for this unconventional concert of the crossover sextet. The original six-member band grew to a thirteen-member ensemble for this occasion. The evening will offer a musical experience in which the original historical atmosphere of the church is combined with a repertoire on the border between classical chamber music, chanson and jazz.

A bonus of the evening will be the presence of art historian Petr Skalicky, who will briefly explain the history of the church of St. Vavřinec and its medieval wall decoration with an emphasis on local attractions, which will unexpectedly enrich the musical experience with another dimension.
