Maranatha Gospel Choir

Maranatha Gospel Choir is a Prague ensemble singing gospel songs. The ensemble was formed in 2006 and has been actively performing ever since. They are among the largest gospel choirs in the Czech Republic. Smaller formations of around 12 singers also perform in the club premises. The ensemble is accompanied by a group of professional musicians – Jan Bálek (keys, TOP Dream Company, The Documents, Los Quemados, Xindl X,...), Ondřej Pomajsl (drums, Vltava, Los Quemados, Roman Dragoun and his Angels,...), Radim Genčev (bass guitar, The Documents, Xindl X, Madfinger,...), Karel Bárta (guitar, Alo Trio Band, Tonny Blues Band, Tonya Graves Band,...). The ensemble's repertoire consists of cover songs by gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Brian Fentress, Claes Wegener and others.

At the moment, they are also releasing new original songs written by Radim Genčev with Czech lyrics by Ondřej Ládek, and are collaborating on the acrobatic musical Nebesa of the Bravo theater in Branica. Clubs also feature more gospel arrangements of well-known pop songs by Michael Jackson, Coldplay, George Michael and others
