The legendary British jazz-rock formation Manfred Mann's Earth Band will return to the Czech Republic and Slovakia in April to play a series of exclusive concerts in Prague, Brno and Bratislava. After more than eleven years, the band will visit European stages again and offer fans a unique experience connected with a long musical history dating back to the 70s. Her work, known among other things for her cover version of Springsteen's hit Blinded By The Light, appeals to listeners across generations, and also continues a strong tradition in our region, which was already started by her predecessors during an iconic performance in Czechoslovakia in 1965. promises an intense and extremely personal meeting with the band. The Brno show at the SONO club offers a combination of seating and standing, and at the MAJESTIC Club in Bratislava, tickets are available for seating only. Fans will thus get an exceptional chance to experience one of the most distinctive rock bands of their era in the environment of smaller halls, where not only their precise instrumental work will stand out, but also the unmistakable atmosphere of a live performance.
Manfred Mann's Earth Band has undergone a development since its formation in 1971, which has made them a fixed part of rock history. The band was formed after South African keyboardist Manfred Mann quit his previous group Chapter Three and decided to create a new sound concept that combined progressive rock, jazz elements and a distinctive use of synthesizers. The breakthrough came already in the first half of the 1970s with the records Solar Fire and Nightingales & Bombers, but the band's greatest international success came in 1976 with the album The Roaring Silence, on which their most famous hit Blinded By The Light appeared. Over the course of several decades, the group has gone through a number of personnel changes, but has always maintained a specific sound, an emphasis on musicianship, and the ability to transform rock compositions into unique arrangements. Thanks to this, Manfred Mann's Earth Band remains an active part of the world music scene even after more than fifty years, and their concerts are among the sought-after events.
