About event
Guatemalan, Mexico-based musician Mabe Fratti returns to Prague after three years with two new albums and a band. This sentence alone should be enough of an invitation to the concert, which will take place on November 15th in NoDu.
On the debut EP Pies Sobre la Tierra, Mabe Fratti enchanted with hypnotic compositions, the first album Será Que Ahora Podremos Entendernos dominated meditative surfaces, through which she continued to the clearer landscapes of Se Ve Desde Aquí. Improvisation runs like a red thread through all her recordings, which is so far the strongest motif of the singles leading to the new Sentir que no sabes. On it, Fratti uses a full-fledged band, which, while leaving behind the previously dominant cello, opens up new, unexplored paths. the talents of the young composer are also being paid attention to by the expanding legions of fans. Just a few days before the Prague concert, Mabe Fratti will curate part of the program of this year's prestigious event Le Guess Who? The Atrium premiere was intimate, NoD with the full band will be a very different experience.

Military Genius
The alternative scene in remote Vancouver is not as extensive as in other Canadian capitals, but in recent years it has gained recognition thanks to the art collective Crack Cloud. One of its members is Bryce Cloghesy, who also performs solo under the pseudonym Military Genius. While his 2020 debut Deep Web offered a mix of industrial and experimental R&B, the new album Scarred For Life leans towards dub and jazz, but this time firmly anchored in a more traditional rock sound. "There's a melancholy to the past, a nostalgia for simpler, long-gone times as we push forward." Relatable? Without a doubt.
