Má vlast – Koncert pro republiku

In the hall, which bears his name, Bedřich Smetana looks down from the relief on the organ and is waiting for a festive opportunity. The opportunity worthy of his peak work, which he had no chance to hear. But from above he seemed to hear every version. As if the bronze relief smiled when he sounded the harp of Vyšehrad, and at a ceremonial launch of October 28, he seems to have naughty. After all, nowadays, more than ever, it shows how important it is to recall and celebrate the values for which the First Republic was created. As an orchestra based in the Municipal House, where it was declared in 1918, we cannot neglect this holiday. Just as we cannot neglect the meaning of Bedřich Smetana. conductor
