The decline of the nobility and the rise of the bourgeoisie against the background of the unification of Italy come to life before the disillusioned eyes of Prince Fabrizio di Salina. Luchino Visconti's masterpiece, based on the novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, Gepard offers a portrait of a world in which complete change becomes the inevitable way for everything to remain the same.
