About event
One believes in capitalism full of discipline, the other in socialism full of salami. A bitter comedy about the fact that the strongest truth is just a lie that we can't give up.
Two aging women, one house. Jiřina dreams of recognition and Métis salami, Kamila dreams of not dying and prefers not to go out. The world outside is too dangerous. Viruses and ice lurk at every turn. Jiřina goes to the samoška for salami and admiration - but she won't be around for long. Young Eliška arrives with a terrifying vision of the future. The old world is going down, the new is just around the corner. But is there anything to stand for? And who can keep lying longer so that they don't have to change?
Czech writer and screenwriter Klára Vlasáková debuts on the stage with the bitterly funny play Liars, which she wrote as part of the residency program LETÍ directly for the actresses Pavla Tomicová, Natália Drabiščáková and Simona Lewandowska.
The text of the play was created with the support of the Czech Literary Fund Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
We warn the audience that there is smoking in the performance!
Thank you for your understanding.
